  • Telework is not only a great work option but a savings as well. No gas-guzzling commute, no wardrobe costs, more free time, and a lot less stress. For more information, see and join my telework blog, www.workathomejob.ning. com

  • For years I have been told I "could squeeze old George (Washington) till he screamed." It's true. I've heard him, but it has helped during the hard times. A few great tip that I have found are: 1) don't be afraid to buy off brands. Often the products are as good or better than the pricey ones. If it doesn't work out... don't buy that item again. 2) buy in larger quantities (like the 10 lb of ground meat vs the 2 lb.) Most of the time it will save you money and you can do yourself a favor by cooking larger quantities and freezing the extra. Doing so will not only save you money, but time as well as you will save yourself from having to cook again another night.

  • Frugal is my middle name! (Yah, I thought it an unusual choice, but my parents knew me best.) I'm all about stretching every dollar and actively seeking golden freebie finds while in my current young and broke status. Read more about these tips at Daily Dose of Freebies here at PNN!
