  • Blogging about relationships made me laugh out loud! I've got one for you. IF YOU ARE MARRIED HAVE SEX WITH YOUR HUSBAND OFTEN and INITIATE SEX. No man gets married to never have sex again. Single men have lots of sex. Single women have lots of sex. Why get married to HAVE NO SEX. I am a single women just over 50. I have never been married and have been dating since I was about 16. I have dated older men and younger men and wannabee rock stars, multi millionaires and poor slobs. I have dated single men, married men and anyone in between in my life time. MEN ARE MEN. Men are creatures of habit. If you are pissed at him don't scream or be passive aggressive. I have learned the hard way that men don't hear you when you scream at any time. You can get your point across if just speak in a normal tone. Wake up and remember they are global thinkers, they hate details we are local thinkers and detail oriented.

  • Relationships - there are so many of them - so varied. I should know - I am immersed in them all right now. I am currently writing a book about girlfriends! There are nine of us in all and we have been friends for over 30 years. Wow -- I must share with you all how we have done it. It hasn't been an easy road but the end product is so worthwhile. The support that we get from our friends - especially the ones that have known you forvere - is unrelated to anythinng else in this world. So -- that's not the only 'relationship' I am delving into at this time in my life. I am currently seeking an agent for my book - now that is a relationship that MUST work and it can be very scary opening up so much of yourself to someone that you do not know - someone that you keep at a professional level. Onto other relationships - how about my husband of 17 plus years. Now - there's a relationship that we could dissect. How about the 2.5 kids? I will be back to explain more!

  • True Life: I'm blogging about relationships. Well, after reading all of your stories, this seems like a wonderful forum in which we can come together and share stories and advice. So I'm going to throw my story out there as well: So C and I started dating in high school and have had this on & off (mainly on) long distance relationship for about 5 years. The passion and love that was involved was unreal, even in the "off" phases. But it has been majorly wearing, especially this past year as I am working in NY, and he is in school in GA. Recently, we have taken a "break" so he can figure out what he wants to do (without me) as he has made "almost all past decisions based on me." Since hearing that, the communication has drastically dwindled - gone from talking 2-3 times a day to nothing. And there's nothing like complete silence and alone-ness in a relationship to scare the crap out of you. It is a feeling of pure emptiness and I feel like it will never be restored again...

  • I look at my parents as my moto. They dont spend a waking minute outside of work without each other. Grocery shopping, cooking, watching television everything... than I look at why... well mom has the book smarts and dad has the street smarts.. they really do complete each other and I find myself looking for that in a boyfriend. They've been through alot and they still are always together never one day have I seen them shop by themselves unless one is at work. Will that happen for me?
