  • Yes. It's a sad and inconvenient truth that through carelessness we abandon our true selves. I'm terribly sorry for the hardships you've had to go through, but this is a perfect time to test your will and embrace your strengths. Forget this man; he's just another person who doesn't understand the frailness of others nor understands the commitment of relationships. If you have a good group of friends, go out and enjoy the simple fruits of life - do you have hobbies? At this critical point in time healthy social interaction is key. You've explained your daughter and described her in a troubled manner, but can you do anything to change this? If she's willing (do not force her) take her out somewhere and bond as a mother and daughter, or as you once did. Let nostalgia wash over you and embrace those who love you! Once you build a steady foundation for your family bonds, you can start rebuilding a family, without the husband.

  • Some long stories are pretty...mine is not. In the course of 18 months...I went from a married woman, healthy...living in my big house, raising, my troubled teen age daughter, with a Husband (who had ED with me...anyway)living out of town week days. To a soon to be divorced (so I thought) sick woman, with a troubled teen. Within 10 months I moved across the country from Tennessee to Washington state, after filing for divorce in November of 07. Why? My husband...I guess didn't have ED with everyone...he was having an affair. This affair had been going on for 2 years. My 14 year old daughter found out about this, on what else...but My space. YUP. It's hard to believe that someone you thought you knew..someone you trusted, loved...could change into someone you don't even recognize, personally and yes..even visually. It's the scene right out of the movie "Body Snatchers", when the woman complains to her shrink, "This is not my husband....he is a completely different person.
