  • BOUNTIFUL BLESSINGS Troubles and trials, I have had a few Bad day and hard times, I have known them too But God's blessings will always get me through I am but a woman so I make mistakes Sometimes I even ask, "Lord why not this way?" But He is the potter, I am but clay God alone knows what will come each day Bountiful Blessings All in Jesus Name They keep right on coming as long as I pray I passed a man along the way, I bid him a good day "What is so good?" His stare seemed to say So I asked God to send some of my blessings his way For this he said, "I will bless you more" For the more you give, the more I restore Bountiful Blessings sent from above Blessings God gives with Love Thank you God for my blessings I will share some more For God keeps right on giving Lord for these blessings, I will praise the ever more! • TOGETHER Many years ago we vowed to stay together. In good times and bad, we leaned on each other. In sickness and in health, we held it together. Friends come and go. But we stay together. Our trials we face together. Some don't understand how I could follow you to the ends of the earth. But they don't know just how much our love is worth. Each night as I drift off to sleep, Its your hand that I hold. Each morning I wake, Its Your face I see. Together we make it, You and I. Together we stand, Because together we pray. Together we will be. Forever and always. Margarita Peak-Clewett

  • Iron bars forever separate Me from the others who look the way I do They are not like me They live in places of light and warmth Where families sit together in Haphazard patterns they carelessly Wear for a single event Only mine had hardened into Intolerable ice Replayed nightly for the entertainment Of a lucky few Who enjoy the squirming misery of the weak Iron bars that hurt my fingers As I grip tightly the invisible lines that Keep me out of the bosom of social warmth That comes of joining in a circle of dance or Faith, a veritable club of belonging I cannot master because I cannot see The way to having faith Iron bars can suck that kind of faith from A person's heart so that even a person who Wonders about God can be fooled into Thinking that nothing has meaning or that People are not rainbows But they are

  • FATHER In a box FORBittEN waits, She tries to calm her nervous shakes. Her Crucifix held tight in hand, She feels it's time to take a stand. Your acts have washed away her years, Denial has brought so many tears. She's learned to walked around quicksand, But doesn't know how longer that she can. Her skin still crawls about her flesh, You said secrets are better kept. Her Crucifix soon sweats in hand, She knows she has to take a stand. Would anyone believe her if she told, 'Cause you're so loved, so strong, so bold? She just can't take it anymore, So a barrel smiles toward your door. Is she the only one that you held, the only one that you held? Is she the only one that you told "Be still child"
